Interstitial Cystitis Quercetin

Welcome to Interstitial Cystitis Quercetin! With this site I will attempt to teach you everything I’ve learned while fighting for control of my health with this frustrating disease through the use of quercetin and other interstitial cystitis natural treatment.

Treating Interstitial Cystitis

Since quercetin is a potent and versatile supplement even outside of treating interstitial cystitis, I’ll also discuss other uses for it as well as quercetin side-effects.

Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is an unfortunately common urinary bladder disease characterized by pain or pressure in the pelvic area and urgency (frequently needing to void your bladder). Pain during urination as well as during sexual intercourse is also common.

It is more common than you may think because it affects all races and cultures, all ages and all socioeconomic groups. It affects both men and women. It is often misdiagnosed as urethritis, prostatitis, urethral syndrome, and sometimes arguably a few other conditions (such as trigonitis).

It isn’t uncommon for women to develop interstitial cystitis after hysterectomies or for men to develop it following surgery to treat testicular cancer or prostate cancer.

Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of certain and precise treatments for interstitial cystitis at this time. Two major medications recently experienced setbacks in clinical testing, leaving many sufferers at a loss for a confident direction for their treatment.

I am not a medical doctor, but I have experienced remarkable improvement through the use of quercetin, a little known yet very safe and natural supplement treatment. As you might tell from the title of my site, this rather surprising discovery is what inspired me to create this website.

Quercetin & Other Natural Treatments For IC

While I will discuss Quercetin, I will also address other possibilities for a natural cure for interstitial cystitis. I can’t personally swear by these other methods, but since everyone is different I want to make you aware of them.

I will also give you some more detailed information about the history of interstitial cystitis and its treatment, and I will discuss the various uses of quercetin as well as quercetin side effects. In particular, I suggest taking quercetin in a quercetin bromelain combination.

I will enumerate the manner in which you should address your problem. This includes properly applying an isolate and eliminate diet, eating more natural and organic foods, cutting back on refined sugars and increasing you intake of fresh, clean water. If you’re drinking tap water, I suggest you learn to appreciate the luxury of a brita water filter or something similar.

As you will see from my site, I prefer to first take natural, safe paths to treatment for bringing in the big guns of the medical world. With interstitial cystitis, this is particularly important because even a skeptic in the medical community would have to admit that conventional medicine hasn’t achieved a whole lot of progress with IC.

Of course, you must be attentive with natural and alternative treatments as well. For example, quercetin does manifest some side-effects in some people. Just because something is categorized as “natural” does not mean it is inherently safe. Just use some common sense.

So thank you for visiting and I hope you’ll return soon as I grow and refine my Interstitial Cystitis Quercetin Guide.

While there are many established quercetin benefits and even more alleged quercetin benefits, one I had not considered was quercetin’s possible ability to help individuals tap their energy reserves. This new quercetin benefit is implied by a recent study conducted by the Arnold School of Public Health (University of South Carolina) and partly funded by the United States Department of Defense. This study was published in the International Journal of Sports Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism in 2009.

The study, which involved healthy but untrained adult men and women (college students), measured subjects fatigue capacity on stationary bikes and their VO2max. VO2max, which was completely new to me upon reading this study, measures an individual’s maximum oxygen capacity. [...]

The quercetin bromelain supplement combination is a rarity: two natural remedies with real clinical evidence to support they each work come together in a combination that is also clinically proven to have a synergistic effect. If you’re suffering from anything that causes inflammation or originates as inflammation, you owe it to yourself to at least try a quercetin bromelain supplement. If you’re interested in just quercetin, I suggest you specifically consider taking a quercetin with bromelain.

On to the real topic at hand: What is bromelain and how does it work with quercetin to make such an effective natural anti-inflammatory supplement?

Bromelain, like protease and lipase, is a protein-digesting natural enzyme. However, bromelain is isolated from pineapple. It is literally made by grinding the stem of a pineapple. Bromelain works with quercetin in two ways: First, as an enzyme, it helps your body absorb a higher percentage of the quercetin you consume.

Second, bromelain is proven to [...]

So you’ve started wondering if you’re suffering from interstitial cystitis. You might ask yourself, what exactly are the signs and symptoms of interstitial cystitis and how can I identify them?

Identifying interstitial cystitis symptoms can be a difficult topic for two reasons. One, symptoms often involve parts of our bodies we rather not have to discuss in detail, especially in public. And two, symptoms vary so wildly it can be difficult to accurately and consistently diagnose each varying symptom as being specifically related to IC and not something else (like a bladder infection). This makes interstitial cystitis diagnosis difficult but not impossible.

Interstitial cystitis symptoms deviate greatly from one person to another yet exhibit some similarities with those of a urinary tract infection.

In short, the bladder wall becomes inflamed, ulcerated, as well as scarred, inducing common, painful urination. Hematuria (blood in the urine) may occur. Patients can wake up two or more times per night to urinate. [...]

With this article I will provide you with a list of all the remedies I tried for my interstitial cystitis. I will explain how to apply the remedy and how that remedy is supposed to work.

Many of these remedies have helped many people, but I can’t give you any guarantees. As I’ve said before, regular consumption of quercetin with bromelain has provided me personally the greatest benefits. But everyone will be different so don’t give up hope if it doesn’t work for you and move on to another therapy.

I always suggest you consider an interstitial cystitis natural treatment when considering various drugs and their side-effects.
